El \u00edndice de refracci\u00f3n es una medida de c\u00f3mo se comporta la luz a medida que pasa a trav\u00e9s de la muestra. Dependiendo de la composici\u00f3n de la muestra, la luz se reflejar\u00e1 de manera diferente. Al medir esta actividad con un sensor de imagen lineal, el \u00edndice de refracci\u00f3n de la muestra puede evaluarse y usarse para determinar sus propiedades f\u00edsicas, como concentraci\u00f3n y densidad. Adem\u00e1s del sensor de imagen lineal, el medidor HI96822 utiliza una luz LED, un prisma y una lente para hacer posible la medici\u00f3n.<\/p><p>\u00a0Las variaciones en la temperatura afectar\u00e1n la precisi\u00f3n de las lecturas de refract\u00f3metr\u00eda, por lo que el uso de la compensaci\u00f3n de temperatura es muy recomendable para obtener resultados fiables. El refract\u00f3metro digital HI96822 contiene un sensor de temperatura incorporado y algoritmos especializados programados que luego aplican la compensaci\u00f3n de temperatura a la medici\u00f3n y convierten el \u00edndice de refracci\u00f3n a: PSU (Unidades pr\u00e1cticas de salinidad), ppt (parte por mil) o SG (Gravedad espec\u00edfica) (20 \/ 20).<\/p><p>\u00a0El PSU (Unidades pr\u00e1cticas de salinidad) se define como la relaci\u00f3n de conductividad de agua de mar a una soluci\u00f3n de KCl est\u00e1ndar. Se basa en el trabajo de UNESCO, ICES, SCOR y IAPSO.
